Our time does not suffer from a lack of knowledge. It suffers from a lack of orientation.

Never before has it been easier to access information. Answers are available at any moment.

And possibilities have never been more abundant.

Yet for more than three decades, I have met people carrying great responsibility—people who have achieved a great deal—and who still ask themselves the same quiet but essential question:

Does the life I am living still reflect the person I want to be?

That question has accompanied me for more than three decades.

I have had the privilege of accompanying entrepreneurs, leaders, teams, and organisations through moments when what they needed was no longer more knowledge.

It was clarity.

Over the years, I have come to understand something.

We do not lose ourselves through one defining decision. We lose ourselves through countless small ones.

Through expectations. Through roles. Through responsibility.

Until one day we find ourselves living a life that appears successful in the eyes of others. yet no longer feels like our own.

It is from this observation that SHEJA was born.

Not as a method. Not as coaching. Not as a collection of ready-made answers.

But as a way of being.

An invitation to place the human being before the method.

Presence before perfection. Orientation before information. Authenticity before performance.

This conviction shapes my work.

And it shapes my own life.

Perhaps growth does not begin with the question: "What do I still need to achieve?"

Perhaps it begins with another: "How do I want to consciously shape the next chapter of my life?"

Before I tell you how SHEJA came into being...

I would first like to tell you why this question has accompanied me for so many years.

MY STORY

My story does not begin with my professional path.

It begins with a life between several worlds.

I was born in Bosnia, grew up in Germany, and have lived for several decades in Switzerland—both in the French-speaking and the German-speaking parts.
As a twin, a woman between cultures, and a person moving between four languages, I understood early on that the same reality can be experienced in completely different ways depending on the perspective from which it is seen.

Perhaps this is where my true education began.
Not in seminars.
Nor in books.
But in life.

I learned to listen before judging.
To understand before responding.
And to ask questions before seeking solutions.

This way of being still accompanies me today.

My professional journey has, for more than three decades, taken me through leadership, sales development, organisational development, and coaching.
I have had the privilege of holding responsibility, leading teams, and accompanying people from very different industries and life realities.

I have seen companies grow.
I have seen the impact of leadership.
I have seen careers take shape.
And I have understood that external success does not always come with inner clarity.

Yet when I am asked today what has shaped me most, my answer is neither a position, nor a title, nor a training.
It is life.

Encounters with human beings.
Responsibility toward others.
New beginnings.
Separations.
Losses.
And decisions no one could make on my behalf.

I have learned that development is rarely a linear path.
It does not arise only from what succeeds.
More often, it arises from what transforms us.

These experiences have profoundly changed the way I see human beings.

Today, what interests me first is not what a person has achieved.
What interests me is who they have become.
Not their title.
Not their role.
But the human being behind their story.

Perhaps this is why I never meet people first with answers.
But with attention.
With respect.
And with the conviction that every person carries far more within them than what is visible on the outside.

It is not our achievements that connect us most deeply.
It is our humanity.

And it is precisely there that every true encounter begins.

Perhaps this conviction is where SHEJA was born.
Not as a method.
Not as a concept.
But as an invitation to rediscover clarity, presence, and authenticity within one's own life.

What becomes possible when a human being begins to trust their inner compass again?

A REALISATION

Over the years, it is not only my answers that have changed.

It is above all my questions.

At the beginning of my professional journey, I believed that development meant helping people become more effective.

Today, I see it differently.

Success can open doors.

But it does not answer the essential questions.

For many years, I have had the privilege of accompanying people who carry responsibility, make decisions, and have built remarkable paths.

Through these encounters, one observation has become increasingly clear.

Human beings rarely fail because they lack intelligence.

Rarely because they lack opportunity.

And often not even because they lack courage.

The real challenge lies elsewhere.

Along the way, we sometimes lose connection with ourselves.

Not through one major decision.

But through countless small ones.

Through expectations.

Through roles.

Through responsibilities.

Through the desire to meet everyone else's expectations.

Until one day, a quiet but profound question arises:

Does the life I am living still reflect the person I want to be?

I believe this is where true development begins.

Not as a pursuit of perfection.

Not as an attempt to become someone else.

But as a conscious return to what is already present within us.

Perhaps personal development is not about becoming more and more.

Perhaps it is about letting go, layer by layer, of everything that takes us away from our own truth.

This realisation guides my work today.

And it has also transformed the questions that live within me.

I am less interested in how people become more effective.

And more interested in how they reconnect with themselves.

How orientation can emerge in an increasingly complex world.

How language shapes our thinking.

How the body influences our clarity.

How leadership can become deeply human again.

And how we can consciously shape the future without losing our humanity.

I do not believe we need to answer every question immediately.

But I do believe that development begins when we are willing to welcome the right questions.

Because questions open spaces.

They invite us to see differently.

To think differently.

To decide differently.

Perhaps, at its core, what matters to me is not how much knowledge a person has.

But the courage they have to ask themselves, again and again:

How do I want to live?

How do I want to lead?

And what kind of human being do I want to be in this world?

What becomes possible when human beings begin listening to their own lives again?

What becomes possible when human beings start 

listening to their own lives again?

WHAT I STAND FOR

I am deeply convinced that orientation has become more important than information.

That presence transforms more than perfection.

That humanity, in the long run, is stronger than performance.

That truth carries further than adaptation.

And that true development does not begin when we become someone else.

But when we move closer to the person we have always been capable of becoming.

And I am convinced that orientation has become one of the most precious resources of our time.
